1. Geographic Data & Location Privacy
GeoTool is architected with a privacy-first mindset. When you enter coordinates, search for cities, or upload spatial files (CSV, GeoJSON, KML, GPX), calculations are processed directly inside your web browser. We do not store, log, or transmit your uploaded spatial datasets to our servers.
2. Third-Party Map Tiles & Geocoding
Interactive maps make HTTP requests to OpenStreetMap tile servers to retrieve map tiles. When you search for an address, queries are routed through standard geocoding providers (such as OpenStreetMap Nominatim). These requests are subject to the respective provider's privacy practices.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
We use local storage strictly for functional preferences such as your dark/light theme setting. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or sell your personal data.
